During the 18th century, a new chandelier style was created to remedy the problem of how to build an enormous chandelier without it breaking under its own weight. The solution was to build a metal frame and sleeve it with small pieces of conjoined glass. And with that the Rezzonico style was born.

This is an incredible super-modern take on that style. Made from nickel-plated iron with brass detail, this extraordinary four metre (almost) chandelier is also sleeved in sections of conjoined clear Murano glass like its ancestors.

The 18th century version was lit by candles, but this chandelier is illuminated by LED.
